Shannon S. BroomePresidentHunton Andrews KurthShannon S. Broome is the current co-president of the California Chapter of WEN. She is a longstanding advocate for women's advancement in the energy field, having started her career as a chemical engineer at a refinery in Los Angeles, progressing through the marketing organization at that company, and then heading to law school to pursue a career in energy and environmental law. Broome graduated with honors from UC Berkeley School of Law. She has worked in conventional and renewable energy throughout her 30-year legal career and has been honored as a Top 100 Lawyer and Top 100 Women Lawyer multiple times by the California Daily Journal, has been named to the list of Environmental and Energy Law Trailblazers by the National Law Journal, and is ranked as one of four lawyers nationwide in the top band of climate change advocates. Broome was appointed to and is currently serving as a leader on the American Bar Association's Special Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion of the Energy and Environmental Section.
Ann de VilliersPresidentSenior Manager, DeloitteAnn is a Senior Manager in Deloitte’s Oil, Gas & Chemicals practice supporting clients to solve complex challenges, reduce costs and drive value. She spent 23 years in the industry focused on downstream and specialty chemicals across both strategy and operations, holding roles in Sales leadership, Marketing, Strategic projects, Customer Management and Safety. Ann has spent the last 6 years in Northern California and prior to that spent 10 years living and working in Asia and Australia and 8 years in South Africa.
During her time at Deloitte, Ann has been able to get involved in the Women’s Energy Network and experience the range of activities and opportunities they offer. However, she found herself always heading to Houston to participate in events, realizing there was no Californian chapter. And so she got connected to fellow founding members Shannon Broome and Anne Marie McGraw to establish the Californian chapter in 2021. The new chapter is forming and looking forward to growing membership and allowing women in the energy sector to get connected on the west coast.
Ann is originally from the UK and holds Bachelor of Science Honors degree in Chemistry from the University of Warwick, UK.
Adriana SandovalPresident ElectProcurement Supply Chain Management Advisor, ChevronAdriana is a Procurement Supply Chain Management Advisor. She holds an EMBA in Global Business and a BS a degree in CIS. She serves as a role model in her community having overcome the challenges of being a young single mother while graduating college against all odds.
Her professional career with Chevron began as an Application Support Developer on a Satellite Network Operations Team. She was since recognized by management through opportunities to lead various teams within Chevron’s Law, Environmental and Upstream business functions.
Adriana serves her community through “Somos”, Chevron’s Hispanic global employee network and Chevron’s Hispanic Technical Recruiting Team holding both Executive VP and ultimately Executive President positions.
She remains involved as a speaker and recruiter at SHPE and HENAAC conferences, and as an advisor to Bakersfield’s professional SHPE chapter.
In 2016, she received both HACR’s Young Hispanic Corporate Achiever’s Award and SHPE’s Star of Today Award for accomplishments in career, education and community service over time.
Maggie TrumblyNorthern California Membership DirectorManager, Environmental Remediation, Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E)Maggie Trumbly is a Manager in Environmental Remediation at Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E). She has over 20 years of experience in the Environmental and Energy fields. Maggie joined PG&E in 2005 as a Cultural Resources Specialist moving into leadership in 2009 holding various supervisor and manager roles in the Land & Environmental Management department. Maggie holds a MS in Management & Leadership and a BA in Anthropology.
Chantale RondeauSouthern California Membership DirectorChief Information Officer, Sempra LNGChantale Rondeau is the Chief Information Officer at Sempra LNG. She has over 25 years of experience in the Technology industry, primarily in the Energy and Aerospace sectors. Chantale joined the Sempra family of companies in 2001 and since then, has served in a variety of Technology roles contributing to numerous areas of the business such as Corporate Tax, Audit Services, Emergency Services (EOC), Electric Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Customer Svcs and more recently, Renewables and LNG. In 2010, she was awarded “The Phenomenal Woman” award by the YWCA (greater Los Angeles) – saluting women who change the game in their workplace – for her contributions to the OpEx 20/20 program. She holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Sherbrooke and has always been an advocate for young girls who want to pursue a career in Engineering and Technology. She grew up speaking French in a small town of Quebec (Canada). She enjoys traveling, always appreciates a good wine and loves connecting with people.
Anne Marie McGrawSecretaryPresident, Insignia EnvironmentalAnne Marie is the founder and President of Insignia Environmental, a highly specialized environmental consulting firm acutely focused on energy and infrastructure. Her passion for environmental work began in high school when she joined a volunteer committee that successfully instituted recycling in the downtown business district of her hometown. After studying engineering and environmental policy and planning, she became focused on creating an environmental benefit from the design and construction of infrastructure. With more than 25 years of experience in environmental consulting for the energy and infrastructure industries, Anne Marie has overseen and managed all phases of projects, from routing and siting to implementing environmental inspection programs during construction. Anne Marie loves every aspect of project work and the lasting relationships she has developed over the years in the industry. She holds an M.S. in Engineering and a Master of City and Regional Planning from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and a B.S. in City and Regional Planning from UC Davis. In Anne Marie’s spare time, she enjoys participating in dressage competitions with her warmblood horse, attending San Jose Sharks games, spending time with her family and friends, drinking wine, walking her dogs, and traveling.
Sophie EllinghouseCommunications DirectorAssociate Counsel, Western States Petroleum AssociationSophie joined the energy industry in 2018 when she became Associate Counsel for the Western States Petroleum Association. An expert in environmental law and policy, Sophie provides multi-faceted experience and perspective to the legislative and regulatory landscape in California and the Western States. As Associate Counsel, Sophie works directly with the General Counsel to address all legal matters that impact the Association, its members and the industry.
Before joining WSPA, Sophie served as an associate attorney at a Sacramento law firm where her practice focused on mining, land use and environmental issues. Sophie’s primary work was grounded in the California mining industry, assisting various international companies with the permitting process for aggregate mines in California. Sophie graduated from the UC Davis School of Law with certificates in Environmental Law and Public Interest Law. In her free time, Sophie enjoys playing tennis, learning to golf and spending time with her husband, daughter and French Bulldog.
