Michelle HookPresidentVice President of Public Affairs, Danskammer Energy, LLCMichelle came to the energy field with nearly 20 years of experience in communications. She has been the Director of Public Relations and Community Outreach for Millennium Pipeline Company since December of 2015. Her role includes coordinating communications and outreach efforts across Millennium’s footprint as well as overseeing all government and media relations and company branding efforts. Prior to joining Millennium, Michelle served in a variety of roles in the New York capital including, Deputy Communications Director for Public Safety in Governor Andrew Cuomo’s administration as well as Deputy Press Secretary for Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. Before her time in state government, Michelle worked as a television news anchor and reporter at various network affiliates across the U.S. including WRGB CBS 6 Albany. She earned an undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Maryland, as well as a graduate degree in political communication from SUNY Albany.
She has extensive working relationships with key energy and policy stakeholders in Albany and across New York.
Alexandra MoorePresident ElectDirector of Legislative & Regulatory Affairs, The Roffe Group, PCAlexandra C. Moore is the Director of Legislative and Regulatory Affairs at The Roffe Group P.C., a full service Government Relations and Administrative Law firm. In that capacity, she oversees all aspects of administrative and legislative lobbying and interfaces with the clients in assisting them navigate New York State government. Over the last decade at The Roffe Group, Alex has worked predominantly with the firm’s numerous energy clients and has developed a broad understanding of New York’s complex energy landscape.
At the Roffe Group, Alex also carries the title of Compliance Officer. In that role, Alex handles the preparation and filing of all lobbying reports with the New York State Commission on Public Ethics and is the point person for the firm’s participation in countless random compliance audits. Alex interacts with the firm’s clients to ensure that they are kept abreast of all New York laws and regulations affecting their lobbying activities and advises them on their respective compliance issues as they prepare and submit their required New York State filings.
Alex graduated from Le Moyne College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. During her four years at Le Moyne, she interned with Congressman James T. Walsh in his Syracuse district office.
Devlyn TedescoSecretaryAssociate Attorney, Couch White, LLP - Greater Albany SponsorDevlyn is an Associate Attorney in Couch White, LLP’s Energy Practice, where she focuses on assisting clients with issues related to ratemaking, project development, and providing guidance on the impacts of relevant regulatory and policy changes both intrastate and federally.
Devlyn was born and raised in Watervliet, New York prior to heading south to the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, where she received a B.A., magna cum laude, in German Language and Literature in 2011. She then enrolled in a joint degree program with Albany Law School and Union Graduate College, receiving an M.B.A. in 2013 and Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, in 2014. During law school, Devlyn served as the Managing Editor of Symposia for the Albany Government Law Review and held internships at Ayco, The New York State Department of Public Service Office of General Counsel, and the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority. Following law school, Devlyn worked in-house at a national multi-disciplined engineering firm helping energy project developers navigate complex regulatory and interconnection requirements in New York and New Jersey.
In addition to her involvement with WEN, Devlyn also serves on the Board of Directors for Girl’s Inc. of the Greater Capital Region and is an active volunteer at Whiskers Animal Benevolent League, a no-kill cat shelter in downtown Albany.
Laura BomyeaTreasurerAssociate Attorney, Young/Sommer LLCLaura is an Associate Attorney with Young/Sommer LLC, a boutique environmental and energy law firm in Albany. Currently, her practice is focused on siting, development, permitting and environmental review for renewable energy generation and telecommunications projects. She is also involved with Community Choice Aggregation, municipal law, litigation, land use and zoning.
Laura earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy and literature from Bard College in 2007, and a Juris Doctorate, magna cum laude, from Albany Law School in 2013. Prior to enrolling at Albany Law, she spent three years working as a small-town journalist in Massena, New York, where she wrote about many energy and environmental issues which eventually drew her to law school. While at Albany Law, she served as an intern with the Environmental Protection Bureau of the New York State Attorney General’s Office, the New York State Public Service Commission’s Office of Hearings and Alternative Dispute Resolution, and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation’s Office of General Counsel. She has published and contributed to research articles on such topics as renewable energy, surface mining, environmental and land use law, and urban agriculture.
In addition to her involvement with WEN, Laura volunteers as a troop leader with the Girl Scouts of Northeastern New York.
Emma MacekoPrograms DirectorRegulatory Affairs Analyst, New York Power AuthorityEmma is a Regulatory Affairs Analyst with the New York Power Authority. Emma has been with NYPA since January 2018. Her work is focused on the regulatory issues relating to energy storage, electric vehicle supply equipment, and the siting of large scale electric generation. Prior to joining NYPA, Emma spent over four years as an Assistant Counsel in the Majority Counsel/Program Office of the New York State Senate, where she focused on Energy, Agriculture, and Economic Development policy.
Emma graduated Cum Laude from Albany Law School in 2012. While at Albany Law, Emma served as the Managing Editor for Technology and Development on the Albany Government Law Review and was a Teaching Assistant for Contracts Law. Prior to Albany Law, Emma graduated Smith College in 2009 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Political Science, with a focus in International Relations. While at Smith, Emma spent her junior year abroad at the University of Edinburgh in Edinburgh, Scotland studying International Relations.
Sara FutiaMembership DirectorSenior Commercial Proposals Manager, General ElectricSara Futia is an experienced renewable energy professional currently working as a Commercial Leader in the Sales & Commercial Operations function of General Electric’s Onshore Wind business. GE Renewable Energy is a $10 billion start-up that brings together one of the broadest product and service portfolios in the renewable energy industry. As one of the world’s leading wind turbine manufacturers, GE Renewable Energy and is the largest and most experienced wind energy company in the Americas. Ms. Futia manages the development of commercial proposals and leads contract negotiations for customers of the Onshore Wind business including public utilities, independent power providers, and wind project developers in North America & Canada. GE’s Onshore Wind business is headquartered in Schenectady, New York.
Prior to joining the Sales & Commercial Operations function, Ms. Futia held a variety of finance roles for GE’s Onshore Wind business. Ms. Futia joined GE’s Onshore Wind business in 2008 as a finance manager for its services organization and has held several other operational and financial planning roles at GE. Immediately preceding her current role as Commercial Leader, Ms. Futia was a Commercial Finance Manager in Onshore Wind covering deals in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
A finance professional by training, Ms. Futia spent the early part of her career in New York City as a business process consultant for Arthur Andersen covering the hospitality industry and an internal auditor at Moody’s Investor Services.
Ms. Futia obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Siena College and her Master of Arts degree in Classical Studies from the University at Albany.
Ms. Futia currently lives in Slingerlands, New York with her husband and two children.

Caley has a deep understanding and knowledge of the legislative and budget process along with extensive experience in managing legislative bill tracking, compliance, procurement, policy research and social media/advocacy outreach.
Prior to joining the Roffe Group, Caley spent more than six years doing government affairs work in Albany, supporting a wide range of industries including health care, non-profits, gaming, higher education and labor. Caley was recognized in 2015 as one of City and State magazine’s “40 under 40 Rising Stars.”
