I am honored to serve as President of WEN-Greater Albany and excited to work with a new Board of amazing women. Over the last two years, WEN-GA has grown exponentially and we hope to continue that trend in 2020.
Fortunately, the Greater Albany area hosts a variety of energy and environmental sector professionals and we are excited about the emergence of women in both fields. The Capital Region is home to utilities, traditional energy companies, energy project developers, government and policy groups, energy and environmental advocacy organizations, and a number of governmental relations and laws firms all working to advance the energy and environmental sectors in New York. We are thrilled to call so many of the leading woman in these fields members and hope others can join what I believe is an incredible group of women from the Greater Albany Region.
Since the inception of WEN-GA in 2018, the organization has developed into a strong community of woman with a focus on fostering career development and advancement. In 2020, we hope to continue this focus through various networking and educational events, and facility tour opportunities.
This year is already shaping up to be an exciting year for our organization and our industry in New York. We are excited to continue to build an inclusive and safe environment for women in our field to come together, learn from one another, and advance women of the Capital Region. We hope to see everyone at our events this year and thank you for your continued support of WEN- Greater Albany.
