Dear WEN Greater Albany (WEN-GA),
I am honored and excited to serve as your President this year together with our outstanding Greater Albany Chapter Board, as we work to further the mission of the Women’s Energy Network. This year, we will build on our Chapter’s successes and continue our tradition of providing networking opportunities, creative educational events and tours, career development and a variety of supportive initiatives and programs for women in the energy sector.
Throughout 2022, I hope to incorporate more interaction and strategic partnerships with outside organizations, so we can expand our connections and widen our scope to match the complexity and diversity of the energy sector community, which is constantly evolving and growing.
As Aristotle said, “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts” and that is certainly true of our membership. I’m especially proud of how our Chapter has managed to work around the obstacles presented by the Covid pandemic over the past two years, and I’m confident that together we can continue to deal with whatever comes next.
Energy issues touch on every aspect of day to day life and offer endless challenges and opportunities to learn and share ideas, especially as we navigate finding the best solutions for the clean energy transition. By investing in our members through education, self-awareness, and building relationships, we will lay an even stronger foundation for future generations of women in energy.
Let’s make 2022 WEN-GA a year to re-connect, re-new, and remember!
2022 President Women’s Energy Network – Greater Albany
