How do you get what you want out of the job market? There are 5 times the number of people looking for opportunities within the Oil & Energy industry in Dallas/Fort Worth then there are jobs open. Whether you are recruiting or wanting to be recruited, standing out on paper or online is crucial. During this session we will discuss the types of employment options out there and how to maximize your technical recruiting compatibility, both in and out of the Oil & Energy industry
Delta (Clifton) White graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Industrial Engineering. She began her career in the Oil & Energy industry, working in manufacturing plants across Texas to streamline processes and improve efficiencies. During a downturn in the market, she began looking for opportunities in manufacturing outside of the Oil & Energy industry. Discussing open manufacturing jobs with a technical recruiter opened the door for her to pursue Business Development for technical recruiting companies. In this role she partnered with companies across all industries to understand their engineering needs and work with a team of recruiters to identify the best solution. She quickly learned that job descriptions and resumes rarely do either the company or the candidate justice. With out of the box thinking, she has helped hundreds of companies and candidates put their best foot forward and stand out in the job market. Over 4 years Delta worked her way up through Kelly Engineering to managing the staffing development for the West and South Central Regions. She is now a Business Unit Manager at Alten USA, an engineering and IT services company, responsible for opening the Dallas/Fort Worth Division.
