Kesavalu Bagawandoss Ph.D, J.D., "Dr. Doss", is a Senior Advisor with Environmental Standards, Inc. Dr. Doss will provide general classifications of PFAS, uses/sources, pathways into the environment and health effects. The current status of promulgated USEPA methods for analysis of PFAS will be outlined. The only method currently promulgated and validated is USEPA Method 533 for drinking water analysis. Issues regarding standards available for measurement of the PFAS will be discussed. EPA has published a federal register notice for comments to potentially regulate PFOS and PFOA in the current regulatory cycle (fourth contaminant candidate list (CCL4). Regulatory status of USEPA and the various states will be provided in addition to providing information on advisory limits for PFAS. Status of treatment technologies employed or evaluated will be outlined. Forensics approach will be outlined to obtain the best set of data for litigation purposes.
