National Membership Grant Fund

Many WEN members know this because you are experiencing it first-hand, but the past year has been especially tough on women in the workplace.  COVID-19 has been and continues to be a major disruption on our lives and careers.  McKinsey's "Women in the Workplace 2020" study indicates that "one in four women are considering downshifting their careers or leaving the workforce due to COVID-19."  Mothers, senior-level women, and Black women all face distinct challenges, including burnout, layoffs, impacts from dismantling of the school/childcare support system, and the emotional toll of COVID-19 and racial violence.  These challenges are threatening to reverse years of progress towards gender diversity in the workplace.

WEN is committed now more than ever before to investing in women and taking action to support them in their careers.   As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the associated economic hardships in the energy industry, Women's Energy Network (WEN) has recognized a need to help members who are currently in a financial crisis and cannot afford all or a portion of their membership dues.  This grant is made possible by the Foundation for the Women's Energy Network (FWEN).   FWEN complements and enhances WEN's efforts in promoting and engaging in educational, charitable, and STEM programming to fill our industry talent pipeline with women for the future.   WEN is here to support our members in these unprecedented times.  If your membership has been impacted by economic hardship and you would like to apply for this grant, click the apply now button below.
