Co-Presidents’ Message

Greetings from the D.C. Chapter of the Women’s Energy Network (WEN DC)!

WEN DC is an organization that prides itself on supporting the professional development and advancement of women in the energy industry through relationships and networking.
As WEN DC enters its ninth year, we are reminded of the many accomplishments of our chapter and are excited about our future. We want to thank our outgoing board, and especially our fearless leader Abby Campbell, for their hard work, dedication, and leadership.

2019 was also a very productive year for the chapter. We hosted numerous programming and networking opportunities, including our networking happy hours and brown bag luncheons featuring energy-focused organizations, a training event focused on career development, a volunteer event to celebrate WEN’s anniversary, and a fireside chat with Sarah Ladislaw of the Center for Strategic and International Studies as part of National Clean Energy Week.

2020 will offer us a chance to diversify and further enhance our programming and events, as well as grow our membership to continue to attract the high caliber of women that make WEN DC an exceptional organization.

We would be remiss if we did not thank our 2019 sponsors, as well as our new sponsors for 2020 for supporting WEN DC. Without the support of these groups, we would be unable to provide the level and quality of programming we currently offer, including the numerous networking and professional development events hosted throughout the year. The support of our sponsors is also critical to WEN DC’s continued growth and success.

We very much look forward to seeing you at our events in 2020! Please do not hesitate to reach out to either of us to learn more about our chapter and how you can join.
Regards,

Emily Duncan and Mara Zimmerman, Co-Presidents
