Presidents Message

chantellOn behalf of our entire Board of Directors, we are thrilled to welcome you to the Women’s Energy Network Colorado (WEN Colorado). Colorado has a plentiful and diverse energy resource mix including coal, wind, solar, oil, and natural gas. Our state also happens to have a plentiful and diverse network of professional women who are passionate, engaged, and making an impact in all sectors of the energy industry. In fact, hundreds of women have already been gathering with a network known as Women In Energy (WIE). When we decided to launch WEN Colorado we knew a partnership with WIE was critical to our success.

With the breadth of resources offered by the Women’s Energy Network (WEN), a national organization for women energy professionals founded on the bedrock principal of women helping women, WEN Colorado and WIE agreed we could be more impactful together and therefore agreed to merge under the WEN umbrella. Together, we have a shared vision to be the premiere organization for professional women who work in the energy industry in Colorado, with access to a broader network spanning every major energy hub worldwide.

Our mission at WEN Colorado is to develop unique programming that provides networking opportunities and fosters career and leadership development of women who work in the energy industry. We intend to honor the WIE legacy by continuing our free monthly networking events and adding a robust agenda of programs and opportunities to engage in our community. As we grow our organization, we will be looking for leaders to join our committees and future board positions. We look forward to working with each of you in relentlessly pursuing the advancement of women at all levels and in all sectors of this vibrant industry.
