Kim Randolph is amongst the leaders in power generation at Xcel Energy where she takes her responsibility seriously to deliver upon the company’s vision to be the industry leader in delivering renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions while providing safe, reliable and affordable energy.
As Vice President of engineering and construction in Energy Supply, Kim holds accountability for the strategic capital investment plan and execution of all Energy Supply capital projects across 77+ generation plants in eight Western and Midwestern states.
Kim believes that clean, reliable and affordable energy today will provide future generations with exciting STEM opportunities in an environmentally responsible world where they can thrive.
Kim has enjoyed various roles during her 25 year combined career in the petrochemical, natural gas and power industries. Prior to Xcel Energy, Kim garnered success at BP where she served as Vice President of Projects and held accountability for the execution of $2B of wind projects across North America.
Kim is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Texas, and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP). Kim holds a MBA from the University of Texas and a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Houston. She has served on the WEN board in many capacities, including YWE Chair, Membership Director and Board President.
A native and long time Houstonian, Kim currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her family.« Back to advisory council
