Greater Oklahoma Chapter

Founded in 2015, the chapter encompasses the entire state of Oklahoma and surrounding areas. The Greater Oklahoma area is a vital transhipment point with many intersecting pipelines, storage facilities, easy access to refiners and suppliers making Oklahoma the pipeline crossroads of the world.

Greater Oklahoma Wins Outstanding Chapter Program Award 2019!

The Women’s Energy Network of Greater Oklahoma is proud to announce that we won the Outstanding Chapter Program Award for our STEM Energy 2.0 Program at the 2019 WEN National Convention in Denver, Colorado. WEN OK President, Natalie Martin, accepted the award from National WEN President, Erin McGee and our WEN OK Community Initiatives/STEM Chair, Maria Simpson, was also in attendance.

Our program was selected as the best in the nation for the Women’s Energy Network Chapters! Under the direction of Susan Shons, Director of Community Initiatives/STEM, approximately 20 WEN OK volunteers across seven Oklahoma-based energy companies contributed to the design, development and delivery of the pilot energy-focused STEM curriculum. Plans are underway to extend the program for the upcoming school year in the OKC and Tulsa areas.

We’d like to give a special shout out to ONEGas as a partial sponsor of the STEM program. Their sponsorship, along with our other Chapter sponsors help WEN OK make programs like this possible. If you’re interested in volunteering, sponsoring or just need more information, reach out at GreaterOklahoma@WomensEnergyNetwork.org.
