Women's Energy Network is 3,000 women strong. Founded in 1994, the Women's Energy Network of Houston (WEN) is a 501(c)(6) organization that brings together professional women of achievement in the energy industry and fosters their advancement by creating a network of energy contacts.

WEN Appalachia Chapter

The Women's Energy Network Appalachia Chapter was started in 2011.  Its first Board of Directors served for 2 years to maintain stability and grow the chapter membership. 

The Women's Energy Network Appalachia Chapter will host events in West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania areas.

The Women's Energy Network Appalachia Chapter will offer opportunities to attend luncheons and various networking events.  Check the events listing for the Appalachia Chapter to RSVP.

On June 29, 2012, West Virginia Governor, Earl Ray Tomblin, spoke to the Women's Energy Network Appalachian Chapter. The event was held at the Charleston, West Virginia, offices of Jackson Kelly PLLC.

The PA DEP TENORM Study - What does it tell us?  

In 2013, DEP initiated a study to collect information and data needed to effectively manage TENORM from O&G operations for environmental and health protection.  The study included the assessment of potential worker and public radiation exposure, evaluation of potential impacts from TENORM waste disposal, and the investigation of possible radiological environmental effects.  Perma-Fix Environmental Services, Inc. (PESI) under contract to DEP performed the survey and prepared the report. Andy Lombardo, Certified Health Physicist and Senior Vice President of PESI manage the study and will summarize the results and talk about practical implications of the study results moving forward.

Sporting Clays 101 

The Appalachia Chapter of the Women’s Energy Network invites you to join them in their Annual Spring Sporting Clays 101 Event.

This event will bring together women in all energy sectors and give them the opportunity to learn the sport of sporting clays in a comfortable, stress-free environment from Certified Sporting Clays Instructors. 

There are two options for participation in the fall shoot:

OPTION 1: You will be assigned a certified sporting clays instructor who will take your team around and shoot up to 50 targets. This option is designed for beginners who have never shot or who do not feel comfortable shooting 100 targets.
OPTION 2: You will be assigned a team and will shoot 100 targets without an instructor.
All equipment will be provided (gun, ammo) and a catered lunch.

Just Ducky Tour in Downtown Pittsburgh 

Please join us again for a fun night of sightseeing with Just Ducky Tours (http://www.justduckytours.com/about/)!  This unique event will begin in Station Square where we’ll board our own chartered boat and embark on an hour long land and water tour of Pittsburgh.  Chick-fil-a sandwiches, bottled water, and alcoholic beverages will be aboard the boat just like last year.  After the tour, show your ticket at the Hard Rock Cafe and receive a 15% discount on your food and beverage (excluding alcoholic drinks) and 10% off merchandise at the Rock Shop!
