Dear Members and Supporters of the Women’s Energy Network of Greater Oklahoma Chapter,
As we embark on another exciting year, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude for the incredible community we have built together. Our mission to elevate and advance female leaders in the energy industry, while supporting education in Oklahoma for future generations, continues to inspire and drive us forward.
Our vision is to be the leading community of energy professionals, focused on the development and advancement of women. In 2025 we will continue to grow this effort through our three foundational pillars: Programming, Leadership Development, and Community Outreach.
Programming - Our quarterly events are designed to provide valuable opportunities for growth and connection. This year, we will continue to offer a robust lineup of Speaker Series, Networking events, External Industry Access, and Volunteer Opportunities. These events are not only a platform for learning and development but also a chance to build meaningful relationships within our Oklahoma community.
Leadership Development - We are committed to fostering leadership skills through our mentoring circles, as well as chapter chair and board positions opportunities. These initiatives are crucial in providing guidance, support, and opportunities for our members to grow and excel in their careers. By investing in leadership development, we are ensuring that our members are equipped to take on the challenges and opportunities in the energy industry.
Community Outreach - Our annual WENOK Gala is a cornerstone of our community outreach efforts. This event supports our mission to provide young girls with positive experiences and access to relevant science and research at an early age, breaking stereotypes that can dissuade interest as they grow. The gala not only raises funds but also raises awareness about the importance of supporting the next generation of female leaders in STEM fields. Look forward to seeing you at the Gala on Friday, October 24th!
As we look ahead, I am excited about the opportunities that lie before us. Together, we can continue to make a significant impact in the energy industry and in our communities. I encourage each of you to get involved, whether by attending events, volunteering, or supporting our initiatives. Your participation and support are vital to our success.
I would be remiss if I didn’t take the opportunity to extend my gratitude to our WEN volunteers – our chairs and board members. These are an amazing group of women who dedicate valuable time to WEN’s mission while excelling in their careers and supporting their families and friends. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to our mission. Together, we are making a difference.
