Happy New Year from the D.C. Chapter of the Women's Energy Network (WEN-DC).

As we begin 2026, we look forward to another year of exciting WEN-DC events and programming! We extend our sincere thanks to our 2025 board members, especially our immediate Past President, Courtney Galatioto, for all of the hard work, dedication, and leadership over the past year. We also welcome our new and returning board members in 2026. We look forward to another year focused on supporting the professional development and advancement of women in the energy industry through relationships, networking, and education.

Special thanks to our sponsors for supporting WEN-DC. Without their support, we would be unable to provide the numerous networking and professional development events hosted throughout the year. Our sponsors are critical to WEN-DC's continued growth and success, and we greatly appreciate their continued support.

We accomplished a lot over the past year. We hosted a variety of events, including our "rage room" event, a summer rooftop reception, golf clinics, a CLE-accredited panel on energy law at the Supreme Court, and a number of lively happy hours. The chapter is also proud to have held a mentorship program in 2025.

Our Executive Members enjoyed several exclusive programming and networking opportunities in D.C. as well as the opportunity to attend a retreat in Texas Hill Country with Executive Members from other chapter hosted by the Houston Chapter.

WEN-DC's theme for 2026 is "Reconnect and Reenergize." Thank you to everyone who attended our sold-out kick-off happy hour on January 14, 2026! Our board is hard at work planning a variety of exciting initiatives and events for our membership.

We are also thrilled to announce that we will be forming a special committee this year to begin planning a celebration in honor of the D.C. Chapter's 15th Anniversary in 2027. We cannot wait to celebrate this important milestone together.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to either of us to learn more about our chapter and how to join, become more involved or become a sponsor.
