Established in 2018, 2023 marks the fifth anniversary of the Women’s Energy Network’s Greater Albany Chapter (WEN-GA)! WEN-GA provides networking and educational opportunities for chapter members to grow professionally in the energy and environmental conservation fields. Each year, the Chapter conducts site tours of area energy-related facilities, panel events highlighting a hot topic in the energy industry, and networking events open to members and potential members. Examples of past events include: a tour of a utility-scale battery energy storage facility, a panel event about New York State’s energy efficiency incentive programs, and happy hours at local restaurants.

Membership is open to women working in the energy or environmental conservation fields within the Capital Region of New York State. Membership is open to all experience levels, from entry-level to C-Suite. Our current members work in nearly every aspect of the energy landscape and have diverse professional backgrounds, including engineers, business professionals, energy and environmental policy experts, and attorneys.

Members of WEN-GA are also members of The Women’s Energy Network Global (WEN Global), a global organization of more than 6,000 professionals who work across the energy value chain in over a dozen U.S. states and in Mexico. As a member of WEN Global, WEN-GA members enjoy the ability to participate in networking and education events hosted by other chapters, educational webinars and podcasts, a career center, and much more.
