Thank you for being a part of our organization and contributing to the culture of WEN Greater Albany. It means a lot to be trusted to lead our Chapter for 2026. The diversity of backgrounds and experiences of the women in our group is what makes us unique. Being in the capital region of a nation-leading state in regards to energy and environment means that we are at the center of the change and progress, and let's be honest. Who runs the world? Girls!

Our chapter is comprised of people contributing to the future of energy supply and environmental protections from all angles - consulting, development, lobbying, legal services, government and regulatory agencies, and more I look forward to serving on the board as your 2026 President with a fantastic group of women. We have ambitious, but achievable goals this year.

  • Reach 50 active members
  • Host consistent smaller events, like happy hours, lunch and learns, and networking opportunities,
  • Plan educational site visits
  • Support local events in the industry, like conferences (ACE NY, IPPNY, etc.)
  • Interact with our nearby Region 1 chapters wherever possible (Boston, NYC, D.C. Philadelphia)
  • Support and connect with women in the energy and environmental space across ALL sectors of the industry in the Great Albany area.

WEN has been a highlight of my professional career thus far, and I'm grateful and excited to continue that in 2026 and beyond! I look forward to connecting with you more at our future events.

Kristen

Sincerely,

Kristen Baker
