Women’s Energy Network (WEN) Houston is a leading organization dedicated to fostering the development and advancement of women in the energy industry. Founded in 1994 by Karyl White, WEN Houston was created to build a strong network for women working across the energy value chain. After years of being the only woman involved in energy transactions, Karyl recognized the need for a community where women professionals could connect, support each other, and grow in their careers.

More than 30 years later, WEN Houston continues to uphold that mission by providing high-caliber networking opportunities, professional development programs, and leadership initiatives. As the founding and largest chapter of WEN, we take pride in shaping a diverse and dynamic community that empowers women at all stages of their careers.

Our commitment extends beyond professional networking. Through our mentorship and executive coaching scholarship program, we equip members with the tools and guidance to advance in their careers. Our premier outreach initiative, Young Women Energized (YWE), has also inspired and empowered young women for over 20 years. YWE encourages students to pursue STEM degrees by offering impactful education, scholarships, and community engagement opportunities. Through these initiatives, we aim to cultivate the next generation of energy leaders and contribute to a more diverse and thriving energy industry.

At WEN Houston, we believe in the power of connection, leadership, and education to shape the future of energy. Whether you’re an experienced professional or just beginning your career, or an aspiring student, WEN Houston is here to support your journey.
