Dear WEN Boston Members and Friends,

As summer winds down and we welcome the crisp energy of fall, I’m inspired by all the momentum we’ve built together over the past few months. The Women’s Energy Network – Boston Chapter continues to grow as a hub of connection, learning, and opportunity, and I’m thrilled to share some of the ways our community has been thriving.

This summer, we launched our new Energy Talk and Tour series, partnering with companies across Greater Boston to showcase innovative programs and give our members hands-on and up-close encounters of what’s happening in the industry. These events have sparked meaningful conversations and opened doors for new collaborations.

At the same time, we know this year has brought challenges, particularly around job displacement. In response, we’ve worked hard to ensure our networking events create meaningful opportunities—bringing Talent Acquisition professionals and hiring managers directly into the room with our members. Watching these connections take shape in real time has been both motivating and encouraging. To further support career transitions, we’ve also hosted a series of programs on personal branding and media messaging, helping our members strengthen their professional visibility and stand out in a competitive market.

We also reintroduced our monthly newsletters, now packed with valuable content including job postings, event recaps, energy reports, member spotlights, and timely resources. It’s been wonderful hearing how these updates have been helping you stay informed and connected.

Our informal monthly meet-ups continue to be a highlight. It’s been such a pleasure meeting so many of you in these relaxed settings, hearing your stories, and watching our community step up for one another in meaningful ways. The support, collaboration, and encouragement that flow through these gatherings are exactly what makes WEN Boston so special.

Looking ahead, we’re excited to be piloting a new Energy in AI Study Group, designed to keep us engaged, challenged, and connected as we dig into real world case studies into the fall and winter months. And our Board is already planning for 2026, with upcoming expert panels on finance and the job market, more site visits and tours, and expanded professional development and volunteer opportunities.

Overall, I am so encouraged by the energy, generosity, and resilience of our members. Whether you’ve reached out to learn more, asked for support, or offered your time and expertise, you are helping to strengthen this network in powerful ways.

As always, we want to hear from you—your feedback, ideas, and questions help guide us and our content going forward. Please don’t hesitate to connect with me or any of our Board members. Together, let’s continue to grow, support one another, and shape the future of WEN Boston.

Warmly,

Desiree Amadeo
