Dear WEN Boston Members and Friends,

As we step into a new year, I’m filled with pride and gratitude reflecting on all that our WEN Greater Boston community accomplished together. In 2025, our chapter organized 23 events, and I’m especially proud that 21 were offered free to our members—a testament to our Board’s commitment to accessibility, value, and connection.

As we welcome 2026, I’ve been focused on ensuring every member fully experiences the value of being part of the global WEN network. Beyond expanding cross-chapter programming, we will also provide training to help members better access and utilize the tools and resources available through WEN. My goal is to ensure our members are empowered to leverage everything we offer.

We are currently organizing a cross-chapter virtual series that will explore how different states and regions are responding to the rapidly growing demand for powering data centers and AI—an issue shaping both the future of energy and the workforce. In addition, we have several new facility Talk & Tour events planned across Massachusetts, expanded professional development programming (including coaching opportunities), and a pilot co-working initiative to create shared space and connection for remote professionals and job seekers.

An exciting new collaboration this year is with USA Girl Scouts Overseas in support of their Steminist program and the development of a new Energy Superhero Patch. This partnership reflects WEN’s broader mission—to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation of women in energy—and we are proud that WEN Boston will help shape that impact globally.

As we grow and expand our reach, we are equally committed to preserving what makes WEN Boston so special: our close-knit, supportive, and welcoming community. Whether through informal meet-ups, mentoring moments, or the many ways members show up for one another, that sense of connection remains at the heart of everything we do.

Stay tuned as events and new opportunities are released—it’s shaping up to be a dynamic and meaningful year. We hope you will all join us for a community appreciation event in March.

Thank you for being such an essential part of this community and for continuing to grow with us. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with ideas, feedback, or ways you’d like to get involved.

Here’s to another year of growth, opportunity, and impact together.

Warmly,

Desiree Amadeo
